Some Truth about the Man

My photo
Nick's developed his own style over the years, a dark style with heavy shadows, the movement is spared resulting in a haunting, dramatic effect in his work. Nick almost exclusively uses old school film era Takumar lenses...ask Nick why, he'd love to tell you..

firebug in moonlight (Pentax ES II Asahi 35mm)

This little guy is my nephew Logan, I call him 4. He and I both love fire, especially campfires. He's spent most of this year fighting cancer. Dear cancer....F' you. I wish cancer had a pair of balls so I could kick it square... It's truly unfair, oh sure life's unfair, I realize that but kids with cancer, smiling while their hair falls out, that's just wrong. He's incredibly strong, he takes pain like a champ, he's kept a brave face and contemplated his own end, something no kid should ever have to consider. He looks like me, he laughs at my jokes, he's my little buddy. I love him very very much, I would give him my bone marrow, kidneys, my heart if he needed it, but there's absolutely nothing, nothing at all I can do to make it better, just prayer, prayer is great but I wish there were something I could do physically to help.
